The 'Safe' Bedside Table

This coffee table was designed and constructed by myself during the course of my wood design class of 2014.

The featured Huon pine half log was gifted to my Grandfather 40+ years ago. The log had laid wait within the back depths of his cool dry garage since, and upon its rediscovery this year, It was then suggested that the Huon pine be given to me as my Nan had always wanted something to be made from it.

The coffee table joined by dominos and biscuits, finished with a Mirotone spray. The table took approximately 25 hours to produce.

Tools used: bandsaw, biscuit cutter, domino cutter, thicknesser, buzzer, table saw, drop saw, orbital sander and router.
