I designed this sheoak bowl with a wavy edge to give it character and make it more attractive and appealing to the eye. Using the wood lathe allowed me to get the overall shape of the bowl. The dremel fitted with a small sanding disc was then used extensively to make the wavy edge. To assist in forming a consistent curve in each wave I used a small sanding drum. Once I was content with the final appearance I sprayed it with three coats of lacquer. A final rub down with steel wool and sandalwood wax completed the project.
