Trystan Unwin, Wooden lathed lamp (ART, OBJECTS 2021)
This is a Mahogany and resin lamp shade with an American oak stand on a Merbau base. The lamp shade is made by laminating a block of resin between blocks of mahogany then spun on the lathe. The stand is made of 5 x 6mm strips of American oak bent over a jig and laminated together the last piece was left off to be applied after the cord is in place so it remains hidden. The base was also turned on the lathe. Lathe is a Nova 3000 using Robert Sorby chisles
