Hayden Hall, Winchester Chair (Furniture)

Coming from my modest wood shop in Wellington, New Zealand, this is one of the first pieces I've created. This lounge seat is the culmination of my self-taught skills to date and is the perfect combination of comfort, craftsmanship and class. Every join is purposefully a mortise, wedged tenon or dovetail, to curtail any reliance on nails or screws. Made of reclaimed pine, kauri and kwila, this piece required so many man hours that I decided to make two so that the first one had a mate, with hope of selling them as a pair. It's finished in Rubio Monocoat for durability and has iron legs to add a modern touch.
