The Wiggle's playful profile and bold design is grounded by the choice of recycled Mountain Gum timber and the soft warm glow of the LED. It's curved contours and shimmying flow disrupts the linear expectations of a traditional pendant. Made by hand on Wadawurrung country in Geelong using routers and a series of jigs to gradually transform the recycled timber the smooth organic shape. I only work with recycle timber, mostly salvaged from local renovations, as I feel there is enough timber out there to work with and love how each piece tells a story of its past with the occasional nail holes still on show.
