Myles Gostelow, Wetlands Bench (Furniture)
Recycled Tharwa Bridge timber (ironbark) and formed concrete ends from handcarved timber panels. This bench is part of a series of works for the ACT Government Healthy Waterways project. The theme was in keeping with wetlands habitat and as a result I carved three different timber panels (one of which is the 'Bell frog' piece). These were used as the pattern to create silicon molds in which the concrete was cast. Dimensions: 2000 x 600 x 700mm.
