Adam Faulkner, Wet-turned hollow forms (ART & OBJECTS 2024)

These forms were turned wet from a Banksia serrata root-trunk base. This was a very old tree removed from a surburban block. The home owner very generously delievered the trunk base/root block. I have never seen so much colour in the fresh, green timber. The pieces kept moving for months, and now look more like worn leather than wood, and feel amazing.
