James Robinson, Violincello (ART, OBJECTS 2022)

This cello was made in the classical Italian tradition by JW Robinson who studied violin making in Italy (Cremona) since 1971. It is hand varnished with my own recipe. The top wood is Sitka spruce, and the back and sides are made from Canadian quilted maple. The neck and scroll are made from Big Leaf maple. All parts are hand carved from solid wood. It sounds marvelous, rich and deep with a big voice. Made by James W Robinson in Sydney, violinplace.com.au
