Greg Allan, Vault Cabinet (Furniture)

Vault Cabinet is an amalgamation of stylistic forms inspired in part by Gothic architectural innovations and Art Deco’s interplay of sweeping curves and straight lines. Suspended on a central flying buttress like support the cabinet is cradled by its under frames horizontal curves. Every curved component is the arc of a 1.8 diameter circle; this creates a visual harmony that unifies the piece as a whole.
