Stability of a substance is determined by the electrons in the valence shell. The exchange of valence electrons is a requirement of any chemical reaction. Valence console table takes inspiration from this with challenges to our intuitive sense of stability in the bent laminated rift white oak shelf and canted cherry legs. The tops of the legs are accented by ebonized 'electrons.' The rhomboidal cherry case is subtly highlighted with hand-cut dovetails and contrasted by three piston-fit ebonized oak drawers.
