Experimental multi axis spindle turning candle holder the Sphere within the form is used as a powerful symbol in unity and wholeness, coming together as one. the surface representation of the sphere all points on its surface are interconnected. the form of my piece is asymmetrical in many ways, but the symmetrical form of the sphere symbolizes balance and equality suggesting a harmonious state where all parts are in equilibrium. The use of sculpted rings in the form is a important reminder from our first nation peoples and the importance of these symbols used to signify a gathering or a meeting place where peoples come together in unity and as a community.
