Trystan Unwin, Timber Pool of Water (BOWLS, BOXES 2021)

This bowl is made using Mahogany timber with a teal resin made to resemble a pool of water. The timber was taken from the scrap bin of the boat yard I work at. I selected it for the beautiful patterns in the grain and the colour of the timber. Lathed on an Nova 3000 using Robert Sorby chisels. The resin is sanded to a 2500 grit finish the 3 layers of buffing oil is applied to the whole bowl to give it a high shine finish.
