Sherab Tsomo, Tibetan Tea Table (Student Awards 2017)
My motivation for this project is based on my personal experience of the struggle faced by Tibetan as individuals and group for the preservation of the Tibetan culture. Tibet has been seen as a part of China since its invasion where it has its unique culture, native tongue and people. I see this an opportunity of exploring and preserving the Tibetan culture by developing an aesthetically pleasing tea table that depicts a piece of Tibetan cultural arts on it.
