“The Wilson Caddy” is a design that I had been pondering for a long time. Since vinyl records have come back in vogue there are many iterations of vinyl stands, but none that I thought ticked all the boxes. “The Wilson Caddy” stores vinyls in its lower box, offers perusal in the top then an area to display the vinyl you’re playing now and the one you plan on playing next with a ‘lazy Susan’ inspired top. The project for me, was a learning experience as I’d never delved into the world of dovetails before, I’d made a million boxes and didn’t want to simply mitre or box join so I thought I’d give them a go. Materials : Spalted American Oak (Urban Salvage), Brass, Lazy Susa mechanism (carbatec)
