This table was an exploration of creating a union between the materials I’ve built my studio around. The tables centerpiece, a solid block of upcylced skateboards, presents itself as the pieces highlight. However, it is the simplicity of the base, coupled with the sliding dovetails in the legs that truly help to amplify this piece. Each aspect must compliment one another. Choosing the right lumber to accentuate the color of the skateboards is the most important step, and simultaneously decking how much, or how little, can be showcased with this cascade of rainbows.
