The Scandi Rocker is design based on a need of a chair for sitting at a desk while deep in thought and avoid falling from leaning too far. Having rocking chair conjures a stable of relaxing and peacefulness while Moving in the motion while staring to the sunset. The inspiration that was incorporated in this piece were from Scandinavian furniture designs like Marcel Cross back dining chairs, other influence were the Shaker style like the Ladder back chair. These were perfect for having subtle curved shapes especially handy for making patterns in laminates. The Scandi Rocker is made of recycled macrocarpa from old cracked planks in the wood rack for who knows how long, and recycled tasmanian blackwood beans. The joint comprises of mortise and tenons and even some rounded ones too. For maximizing the comfort of the rocker with upholstering seat, having two layers of foam and coving it in navy blue fabric. The Finishes were coated in a natural bee wax with pine needle scented giving a shiny look while preserving as well. The Scandi Rocker isn't what you would call a traditional rocking chairs in not having arm rests or a lot smaller than other rockers. However it's a unique chair build for a purpose, to whoever sits on it would find ease.
