Damien O'Loughlin, The Good Night In (CHESTS, CABINETS, SHELVING 2021)

The “Good Night In”, is a drinks cabinet crafted from solid American Oak. It stands 1825 high, 1260 wide and 530mm deep. The doors are 28 - 37mm thick and constructed from shop sawn veneers on 20mm blockboard. 62 handmade half dowels added to the bottom of the doors add texture and interest for a unique look. The round brass handles add a touch a lux. The cabinet is finished with a mix of Osmo hard wax oil and coloured with a Japan Black stain The carcass is 1525mm high made from solid 25mm American Oak. The light filled bottom shelf supports the storage of all shapes of spirit bottles whiles the first draw can hold 12 bottles of your finest wine. The pull out shelf provides ample space to prepare the most complicated of cocktails while the middle shelf allows for a quick pour and a prompt return back to the party. The backlit mirror, automatically switched by the detection of motion, ensures there is plenty of light to select the correct glass from either the suspended wine glass holder or a cocktail\spirit glass from the glass shelf.
