The Cuar (Irish word for curve) Initial glances of the design show a clean and simple minimalist table but on second look, subtle curves create light and shadow to add extra intrigue. Simple, but stylish. The Cuar is made from Tasmanian Myrtle and finished with Livos Kunos Oil. The top was made using a circle jig on a bandsaw then given an edge profile. The legs are tapered laminations. The laminate pieces where thicknessed at 1.8mm at the top, 2mm in the middle and 1.6mm at the bottom using a jig to create elegant curve. The legs were then further tapered using a spoke shave and hand held router to trim the bottom sides of the taper. The photographs were taken by Ilona Vasvari @vasvaristudios.
