This desk is intended for PC Gaming, with the curves designed around a gaming chair. The intent was to showcase the PC tower and give a ergonomic flow to the gaming station. Built from solid White Oak and African Mahogany and Mozambique veneer, this desk features 3 unique curves, mortise and tennon joinery and dovetail joinery in the drawer. I wanted to learn more about bending wood during my year of study at Selkirk College, and what better way than to incorperate it into a project. The black stain was achieved through countless test samples of different ebonization processes, eventually finding a result I liked.
