An amazing example of Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle with book matched top and sides to fully pronounce the tiger pattern. The contrasting black edging is 5000 to 10000 year old ancient red gum salvaged from Victoria out of the earth thus absorbing all the minerals and tannins creating a beautiful black feature. A subtle angled handle in red gum adds to the simplicity and functionality of the box. It slightly protrudes downwards to ensure the gap around the lid to the base is even. Internally is Tasmanian Myrtle with a sliding tiger Myrtle tray with angled sides ensuring no interference with the lid when closing. The design of this box is relatively simple but often less is more as long as the less is unique.
