Robin Lewis, Steam Bent Chair (Furniture)

Made from kiln dried Tasmanian oak, merbau and Moreton Bay ash, this chair uses two curved forms, with a total of 51 steambent pieces. The legs are flexible enough to accommodate uneven surfaces and all the slats are held in place with dowels to stop them from sliding. The chair is finished with Danish oil.
