Jake Farnan, Stave Snare Drum (Student Awards 2019)

Black walnut stave snare drum (355mm wide x 177mm high). This snare drum was constructed with 16 singular stave lengths, all cut with an 11.3 degree angles on each stave. Glued and clamped together, rounded with a router jig on the inside and outside, then sanded, measured and drilled for hardware, and then oiled with scandinavian oil.
