Hernán Costa, Sliding dovetail plane (WORLD 2022)

This plane cuts the tail of a sliding dovetail joint. It's basically a moving fillister with an angled sole. For the body, fence and wedge I used beech, as is customary in this kind of planes. The boxing, nicker wedge and depth stop are made of incienso, a dense Argentinian hardwood. The iron and nicker are O1 tool steel. The grooves of the fence, where the screws that tighten it run, are reinforced in brass. Every part of this plane was built by me using mainly hand tools.
