Justin Visser, Sliding Door Breadbox (Student Awards 2017)
My timber breadbox is made out of marri and jarrah and is 400 x 310 x 200mm high. Built during semester 1 at school in 2017. Our task at school was to make any type of box. For a long time I had wanted to make a ‘roller door’ out of wooden slats so I found this as a good opportunity to do so and incorporate it into a breadbox. The overall design was simple but it was still a complex build with a few challenging techniques used. Justin Visser, Year 11, John Calvin Christian College. Teacher: Marius VanderLecq.
