I made a functioning, six-dial, Cryptex Vault made from various timbers and has no metal fastenings. All of the components except for the end caps and sections of the stand are less than 10mm thick and almost all of the components of the Cryptex were made on a wood lathe. The main tubes, stoppers and end caps are all made from Blue Gum, The dials were made from Blackbutt and the inlay was made from Gaboon Ebony Veneer.
