Kalissa Kars, Silky Oak Bedside Table (Student Awards 2018)

This piece is made in the design of a classic bedside table. It is a personal design and features a number of personal design touches that helps make it stand out. It has a drawer and a panel door. It has been constructed out of locally grown, cut and seasoned silky oak. It is made using traditional furnishing jointing techniques. It is finished with four coats of clear varnish.
