This is my set of composite Tasmanian Blackwood to Silky Oak bedside table set I completed for my HSC major work. Achieving contrast between the composite colour and grain, illuminates the natural figure of both timbers. Project featuring an array of machine, hand cut dovetails and variety of rebate appropriations, the dual nature of the project displays the versatility of craftsmanship and design in both jobs whilst tying one to the other through minor features in the project.
