Paul McKenzie, Sheoak Table (TABLES, CHAIRS, DESKS 2021 )

Sheoak table made from roughsawn boards. Resin fill and butterfly keys across major cracks. Resin also used on edge as filler and to create a tenon. Live edge left in corner as a feature. 7 x pinned tenons in each breadboard end. 9 coats of tung oil/poly blend and flattened/polished to a glass feel finish. To be used outdoors (under cover on patio) so metal legs were used to save weight. Bench seat designed and made as well.
