The final pieces we made for Seek HQ are two made-to-measure versions of our Dilettante Table. Made in solid American Hard Maple, these tables establish a heavy, yet finely detailed presence through their use of two monolithic tapered bases, supporting a boldly proportioned dovetail shaped beam that slides onto each table base. The 40mm thick tabletop has a soft radius to the long edges, and is held in place using a sliding dovetail button detail, fixing the table top to the base, while allowing for seasonal timber movement. The sum of these details present a nice example of our uncompromising commitment to combining fine furniture fundamentals, with the attention to detail I enjoy.
