This hall table aims to capture the natural beauty and unique grain structure of native Australian timbers, such as alpine ash and yellow stringy bark, by contrasting them on the curved sides. Constructed without steam bending, the sides were put together as many segments, to allow different grain orientations and colouring, and give the piece a natural curved profile. To accentuate this minimalist, Scandinavian style, the under frame is interlocking and tapered, and hand-made brass handles complement the fiddle-backed timbers.
