Ebonised solid Oak coffee table sets x2 for Moodlab Filmlooks, featuring through-tenon joinery. Moodlab's freshly designed studios in Prahran Melbourne required luxury furniture surfaces that would avoid tonal clashes with their monitors during a colour-grade. We decided to use neutral tones to suit the brief, whilst showcasing the light-play & natural texture of the materials. The different heights and diameters of the circular surfaces allows the user to customise the space, as well as a generous magazine-rack to display reference books for clients to browse. Spending more time with this piece reveals some of the intricate details and problem-solving involved in the assembly process.
