My client wanted a cabinet in the style of some of my previous cabinets with slatted doors. However, they wanted overhanging shelves and a large radius on the front corners. I took those requirements and redesigned the cabinet with sliding dovetail uprights to lock the horizontal boards together. The request for a large radius on the corner carried through the entire design, turning each end into semi-circles, rounding over the edges and using dowel instead of the common rectilinear slats.
