The table is a round dining table with diameter of 1200 mm, that extends with three leafs to a full length of 3000mm. The main wood is American Walnut with Slovenian oak for details. The table top is a sunburst of walnut, with a solid walnut edge. The apron is a section of a cone with a 5° slope. The apron is decorated with a pattern borrowed from a frieze in the Hagia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. The pattern is only seen, originally, in the Selimiye Mosque in Edirne, also in Turkey. Both are the work of the Ottoman Architect Mimar Sinan. It is a geometric pattern that combines hexagons and nonagons together. The pattern is hand cut using the double bevel method. Apart, from the borrowed pattern, the design and execution is mine.
