Jake Billinghurst, Pool Table (Student Awards 2019)

My Industrial Technology Major Project is a stylish Pool Table which integrates an interesting design involving twists and curves. It has been constructed using Tasmanian oak, with pine supports throughout the internal structure and Sydney blue gum has been strategically placed for aesthetic design. It combines this with the innovation of hand carved, curved twisted legs and an A-frame support underneath, which also incorporates the twists green felt, on the playing surface of the project, has been used to make the design functional and practical.
