In early 2022 at the age of 16, I became fascinated with the wonder of horology and became entranced with the idea of making my own clock from scratch. I started the project in September later that year with limited knowledge and skill, so I was forced to scrap many failed parts. However I overcame the challenges by taking time off from the project and concentrating on the design and research aspects.   The clock itself is made of brass and stainless steel, mounted on a curved spalted ash backboard. The face of the clock is also made of a turned spalted ash ring with hand carved brass indices. To mount the entire thing on the wall I designed a brass hook that would also allow the clock to be easily levelled whilst being strong enough to hold the clock and the mass made from an ammunition shell from WW2 .
