The Pebble is a light hearted piece that uses a traditional style of joinery known for being light in weight and paring it with one of the densest Aussie timbers available (white mahogany). While it is visually airy it is physically very heavy. The oiled timber feels like polished stone. I was interested in exploring a more traditional joinery style focusing on the use of the lathe to form the majority of the parts.
