This piece has been developed for the Woollahra Gallery in Double Bay. The brief was to create a unique lectern that highlighted the heritage building, the coastal area, and provide a platform for speakers that would elevate this cultural space. Onda, meaning 'wave', has been created primarily from three pieces of Meranti. Through Kerfing each piece has been bent in three directions - two twin outer waves, with a mirrored inner wave. The cable for the microphone is hidden in a recess inside the inner wave, and covered by an inlay, also of Meranti. The piece derives its strength from the base, and dowel joints at each intersecting point.
