Luke Peterson, Norrköping Cabinet (STUDENT 2021)

A celebration of my Swedish heritage, this cabinet is named after the city where my great grandfather lived. From the original concept, to final product, this project pushed me as an aspiring craftsman. I am very early on in my furniture making career, however, I am always looking for the next challenge to continually improve. Therefore, I opted to try and include as much traditional cabinetry in this project as possible! The cabinet contains traditional joinery in the doors and carcass, sliding doors running in wooden grooves and traditional dovetail drawers, fitted by hand. The journey has begun!
