Jason McLeod, Nature's natural cycle vase (BOWLS, BOXES 2021)

The design depicts the natural cycle of nature, showing the life cycle of trees being slowly impacted by the environment and eventually breakdown back to the earth. The main body of the vase is blackwood and the branch inlays are from gum. Resin outlines depict impact from fires. As you move down to the base of the vase you will notice the gum branches breaking down and becoming part of the earth. Inlays were farmed from fallen branches and milled and shaped to match the curves of the vase. Inlays were hand carved and embedded.
