Liquor cabinet in solid Oak and Cherry (from my village). The body of the piece, with its austere, mastered, controlled lines, of human nature, confronts Nature itself, free of constraints and rules, almost fractal. The carcass is assembled in hand cut mitered dovetails and the footing in twin-loose-tenons. The Cherry doors have an Oak core for stability. Handles in Cocobolo The piston drawer, with its sculpted handle is assembled in hand cut half-blind dovetails. Mortised and tenoned frame and panel back. Precision solid brass hardware. Finished with oil, natural wax, French polish and stained varnish.
