Scott Clafton, Nakashima Style TV Cabinet (Furniture)
I'm a weekend woodworker and this is by far my biggest project. My cabinet, based on George Nakashima's Odakyu cabinet, is made from Victorian ash with upholstered panel sliding doors. I was a little apprehensive taking on such a big project (the cabinet is 2400mm long and my workshop is only 3.5 m wide!) and I was very fortunate to get some great advice from Harry T. Morris and Sam Johnson (Niceman & Co.), both amazing furniture makers, via Instagram. Now I spend my time staring at the cabinet rather than staring at the TV!
