I constructed this traditional Moravian workbench using Tasmanian Blackwood and European beech. I used traditional joinery such as wedged mortise and tenon, half-lap dovetail and bridal joints to build the dismantling frame it sits on. The features such as the bench-crafted vice mechanism and sliding deadman accommodate for many clamping angles and strong clamping pressure. The goal of this workbench was to build something I can continue woodworking on, challenge my skills in the craft and be able to dismantle and transport the bench easily.
