Intarsia Monarch Butterfly with 4 baby Monarchs. The overall size is 60cm, the smallest baby is 4cm. The timbers used are, wenge, oregon, european maple, black butt. It was very challenging, especially the little butterflies. After a lot of careful cutting on a scroll saw, sanding on a bobbin sander, joining together with a light box and careful glueing, the final result was very self rewarding completed with four coats of cabothane semi gloss clear.
