Heath Cauchi, Modern Oriental Hallway Cabinet (Student Awards 2019)

For my HSC course, I intend to design and create a hallway cabinet that is fitting with my home’s style while also executing my expertise from previous woodwork projects. The cabinet is of a modern oriental design sporting a floating top and an ambient light feature between the cabinet and the actual top itself. My mum being into aromatherapy and essential oils inspired me to create a drawer especially suited to storing the various bottles and instruments; this overall design complements my home while remaining a feature.
