Inspired by the work of Danish designer Svend Åge Madsen, this mid-century desk combines sharp lines with soft sculpting, showcasing beautiful American walnut. The carcass comprises twin mitred boxes with subtle walnut splines doubling as both drawer housings in the front and drop-down storage in the rear. The drawers include dovetailed internals and comfortably inset finger pulls on the drawer fronts. The slightly-splayed legs feature through-tenons and a large round-over, which contrasts nicely with the angular carcass. The desk was finished with satin hardwax oil.
