MDQ Desk 3200 x 1700 x 750 Tassie Oak - Hardwax Oil Satin Finish The MDQ Desk was commissioned by a household of Sun Records fanatics, affectionately named after ‘The Million Dollar Quartet’ arguably the worlds first super group or maybe more of an impromptu jam session consisting of Sun Records Alumni Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. The design parameters were unique in that the piece had to travel up some spiral stairs and nest in an acute corner whilst looking balanced and intentional. Made in collaboration with Lauren Henderson @low_low_home the desk is flat packable through the use of CNC cut stainless steel plates, threaded inserts and domino connectors. And for the sake of some post design rationalisation four band members, four legs. Photography @alex_mclaren_
