Dave McFall, Manu tuku-tuku (STUDENT 2021)
This was my final project for the furniture makers course - Centre for Fine Woodworking. The design for the back was inspired be some Maori kite designs I had seen over the years and had always considered them to be a beautiful shape. I tried to incorporate this into my design attempting to give a lightness to the design. It is constructed from quarter sawn sycamore and matai.
