Introducing “Levity Wash,” a piece I’m truly proud to present as part of Melbourne Design Week 2023’s Ceresfairwood’s Origins to Object Exhibition. This isn’t just another piece of furniture; it’s a reflection of my journey in woodworking since 2019 when I created its predecessor, “Levity Tall.” With Levity Wash, I focused on the natural beauty of Shining Gum timber, aiming to bring out its light, blonde tones. The design keeps things visually light and slender, to complement spaces without overwhelming them. The handle is custom-made from brass to add a subtle touch of uniqueness, and the wood is finished with a Livos oil white finish to honour its natural qualities.
