A unique coffee table made in a Japanese style. The table top is a beautiful natural slab of Queensland walnut, stabilised with bowtie inlays made with rock maple creating a pleasing contrast. The frame is constructed with rock maple and walnut timber and the drawers are made from rock maple with birds-eye maple fronts. The drawer bases are veneer marquetry with a koi fish design. The project was created as part of the HSC Industrial Technology Timber course.
