Callum Clayton, Indoor Dining Room Table (Student Awards 2019)
For my HSC product I made a dining room table. The decision to make this dining room table came about because my family home was being renovated and we needed a centrepiece for the house. Not knowing what I wanted to do in woodwork it was the perfect project to make. I used a modern Australian style for my design and also made sure the table would fit the space. Angle dowel bridle joints and dominos are used to make a strong and durable table. The solid blackbutt used matches all the timber in the house. The table is 2330 x 980 x 750mm and seats 8 to 10 people around it. Huge thanks to my school Trinity Grammar and my teacher Ben Treloar.
